Crafted by Edward Smith, a respected Birmingham silversmith known for his ornate personal luxury items, this vinaigrette bears a full set of hallmarks:
- Duty Mark: Queen Victoria’s profile (tax-paid mark used before 1890)
- Maker: ES for Edward Smith
- Assay Office: Birmingham (anchor)
- Date Letter: Script “m” for 1860
- Miniature/petite size: 1”x1.75”
