This unique and beautifully preserved hairwork art bouquet was hand-crafted in July 1993 by Minnesota artist Marge Jensen of Albert Lea, MN (b. Marjorie Jensen 1927). Created using traditional Victorian-era weaving techniques, the bouquet is intricately formed from real human hair and arranged into floral rosettes, curls, and tendrils. The piece is mounted on linen and presented in a wood shadowbox frame.

  • Dimensions: 7.5" W x 9.5" H x 2" D

Hairwork art was cherished throughout the 1800s as a sentimental and memorial tradition, and by the 1920s, only skilled craftswomen continued the practice. This example carries regional folk-art significance, making it a rare and meaningful display piece.

Perfect for collectors of mourning art, Victorian traditions, folk art, or anyone drawn to unusual handcrafted heritage pieces.
