This ornate antique letter clip dates to the late Victorian period, circa 1890. Crafted with a lightweight pressed brass decorative face and ferrous metal backing, it features elaborate scrolling ornament, geometric detailing and the distinctive “A1” emblem found on other period examples.
The large spring-loaded clip was originally intended to keep letters, bills, notes, and other papers neatly gathered on a Victorian desk.

Condition:
Good antique condition with expected surface wear, oxidation, darkening and patina consistent with age and use. Please review photographs carefully as they form part of the description. We have intentionally left the original patina intact.
