A turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau jewelry casket, marked B & W (Benedict & Weiss) 141. Crafted circa 1900–1910, this ornate piece could have once been a cherished vanity box resting on a Gilded-Age dressing table.
The cast metal body (spelter with silver wash) has raised floral garlands and swirling leaf motifs, resting gracefully on four curved legs. The lid lifts to reveal its original interior; it is frayed and could be removed.
